Großglockner
Großglockner road to the highest mountain of Austria!
Position: Starts in Fusch (approx. 40 km)
Opening hours: From the beginning of May until the beginning of November opened daily from 5 am to 10 pm (15.6.-15.9.), pre- and end of season 6 am to 8.30 pm
Daily toll for cars: € 28,00
An unforgetable experience at the roof of Austria. A few exhibitions and a lot of flora and fauna on the way. Attention! Free Marmots running around (also on the street!)
Mozart's House of Birth
Position: City of Salzburg (approx. 100 km)
Opening hours: daily from 9 am to 6 pm (July and August until 7 pm)
Documents, pictures, furniture and musical instruments from Mozart’s lifetime.
Fortress Hohensalzburg
The Festung or Hohensalzburg Fortress, the chief landmark of Mozart's city, is the largest, fully-preserved fortress in central Europe.
Hohensalzburg Fortress, built in 1077 by Archbishop Gebhard, considerably enlarged by Archbishop Leonhard von Keutschach (1495-1519), largest, fully-preserved fortress in central Europe. The medieval princes' apartments and the Fortress Museum are of particular interest. Since 1892 the fortress can easily be reached by funicular railway departing from the Festungsgasse.

Getreidegasse
Getreidegasse is the heart of Austria's most beautiful shopping center. Artistic portals, picturesque arcaded courtyards.
Today most people are attracted to the Getreidegasse because of its multitude of shops selling jewelry, "Trachten" or traditional costumes, the latest fashions, antiques, leather and paper goods, parfumes, delicatessen and just about anything one could want. Even today, the elegant and intricate guild signs of the restaurants, shops and workshops project above the visitors' heads. Many of these elaborate "advertising signs" are the product of skilful craftsmanship.
Hellbrunn - Palace and Trick Fountains
Hellbrunn Palace, built from 1612-1615, is one of the most beautiful examples of manneristic architecture north of the Alps and unique throughout Europe.
Visitors originally came to Hellbrunn for excursions, hunts and elegant receptions. Today they come for meetings, seminars and glamorous social events. And perhaps the reason that the palace has become a popular venue for international events is that it was built for that very purpose almost 400 years ago!
Reservoirs Kaprun
Position: Kaprun - Kesselfall (approx. 35 km)
Opening hours: Beginning of May until mid-October daily from 8.10 am to 4.45 pm
Visit to the Glockner-Kaprun power station group with their Wasserfallboden and Moserboden reservoirs. Guided tours upon arrangement.

Zoo Ferleiten
Position: Fusch-Ferleiten (approx. 40 km)
Opening hours: From May to November from 8 am until it gets dark
From red and fallow deer to marmots, brown bears and wolves. Located directly next to the Großglockner Hochalpenstrasse toll booths.

Celts Museum
Position: Hallein (approx. 100 km)
Opening hours: opened all year from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm

Zoo Salzburg
Salzburg`s Zoo keeping animals, both native and exotic, in an environment close to their natural surroundings has become the hallmark of Salzburg's Zoo. One of the zoo's main goals is to ensure a harmonious balance between the beauty of the local landscape in Hellbrunn and the natural environment of the animals. Special habitats are continually being developed, enabling visitors of all ages to experience the natural balance between flora and fauna. These habitats have been created using natural materials to enable animal communities from similar surroundings to be observed together in captivity.

Other exhibits show the fauna in America or the animals in Eurasia (bears and lynx, chamois, groundhogs and river otters). A visit to Hellbrunn is an educational experience for young and old. Observing familiar local species and creatures from other continents is both entertaining and informative. Take the time to wander through the spacious zoological landscape and experience the life on other, often distant continents.
